Role Overview: 

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Academic Counselor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding students through the process of applying to universities in the US and Canada. This role involves understanding student aspirations, providing accurate and relevant information about programs and institutions, and assisting in the entire application process, from selecting the right courses to obtaining visas. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Student Counseling: Provide personalized counseling to students and their parents regarding study options in the US and Canada, including information on universities, courses, admission requirements, and career opportunities. 

• Application Assistance: Guide students through the entire application process, including form filling, document preparation, and submission. 

• Test Preparation Guidance: Offer information and resources for standardized tests such as SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, and IELTS. 

• Visa Counseling: Provide comprehensive guidance on student visa requirements and processes for the US and Canada. 

• University Coordination: Liaise with university representatives to obtain updates on admission criteria and deadlines, ensuring students are well-informed. 

• Workshops & Seminars: Conduct workshops, webinars, and information sessions for students and parents on study options, visa procedures, and cultural adjustments. 

• Follow-up: Maintain regular contact with prospective students and assist them throughout the admission process. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field. 

• 2+ years of experience in education counseling, preferably with a focus on US and Canadian universities. 

• In-depth knowledge of the US and Canadian higher education systems, including university admission processes and visa regulations. 

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to empathize with students and understand their academic and career aspirations. 

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience studying or working in the US or Canada. 

• Knowledge of test preparation for standardized exams (SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, IELTS).
